Advanced Air Mobility Consulting — From Innovation to Real-World Applications

Advanced Air Mobility Consulting helps organisations, institutions and businesses explore new opportunities in aviation through independent strategic advice, territorial analysis and evidence-based planning.

My approach focuses on understanding where innovative aerial technologies can provide genuine benefits, identifying practical applications and evaluating the conditions required for their sustainable implementation.

Technology alone does not create progress. Successful innovation begins with understanding the needs of people, communities and territories.

What Is Advanced Air Mobility?

Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) represents an evolving approach to aviation, integrating innovative aircraft, digital technologies and new operational models to transport people and goods and provide essential services.

AAM encompasses a broad range of applications, including electric and hybrid aircraft, unmanned aerial systems (UAS), remotely piloted operations and emerging autonomous technologies.

Its potential extends beyond passenger transportation to logistics, healthcare, emergency response, environmental monitoring and improved accessibility for remote communities.

The development of AAM requires more than aircraft. It depends on appropriate infrastructure, airspace integration, regulatory compliance, operational safety and coordination among public and private stakeholders.

The development of Advanced Air Mobility in Europe requires a clear understanding of the regulatory framework established by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

Strategic Advisory and Project Development

My consulting activities focus on assessing opportunities for Advanced Air Mobility and supporting the development of projects grounded in real territorial and operational needs.

Key areas include:

  • Strategic assessment: Identifying opportunities, constraints and potential applications of advanced aerial technologies.
  • Territorial analysis: Evaluating geographical characteristics, accessibility gaps and infrastructure requirements.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Supporting dialogue among institutions, aviation operators, technology providers and local communities.
  • Project development: Contributing to the definition of concepts, feasibility assessments and implementation strategies.
  • Sustainable innovation: Exploring solutions that can improve accessibility, resilience and the quality of life.

The objective is not to introduce new technologies simply because they are available, but to determine where they can deliver measurable value.

AEOLUS — Advanced Air Mobility for One Health

AEOLUS — One Health, One Flight. Every Life Counts.

AEOLUS is a project exploring how Advanced Air Mobility technologies can support emergency response and the protection of human, animal and environmental health, particularly on islands and in remote territories.

Inspired by the One Health approach, AEOLUS investigates the integration of unmanned aerial systems, remote observation, emergency communications and robotic support into coordinated response operations.

The project envisages complementary technological capabilities, including:

  • Aerial observation: Monitoring territories and supporting the early identification of potential emergencies.
  • Drone First Response: Providing rapid aerial situational awareness to support emergency services.
  • Medical and emergency logistics: Exploring the delivery of essential equipment and supplies when operationally appropriate.
  • Environmental protection: Supporting the observation of wildfires, environmental hazards and situations affecting wildlife.
  • Integrated response: Studying how aerial technologies, ground robotics and local emergency organisations can work together.

AEOLUS is being developed through scenario-based analysis and virtual testing to examine operational requirements, coordination procedures and potential limitations before considering real-world implementation.

Its underlying principle is straightforward: advanced technologies should serve people, animals and the environment.

Evidence Before Investment

Advanced Air Mobility offers significant possibilities, but each application must be evaluated against actual needs, available alternatives, regulatory requirements and operational feasibility.

As an independent consultant, my objective is to help organisations distinguish technological potential from practical opportunity.

I’m also serves as Senior Advisor to the Advanced Air Mobility Institute, based in Boston, Massachusetts (USA), contributing to the international dialogue on the future of Advanced Air Mobility.

Innovation becomes valuable when it responds to a real need.
